Hello everyone!
Today, we’d like to introduce Ōtsuka in Toshima Ward, Tokyo.
Ōtsuka History Trivia
Ōtsuka was a post town during the Edo period, playing an important role in the development of local culture. During the Meiji era, the opening of railway lines accelerated its growth. By the Taisho and Showa periods, the area became known as a cultural hub where many famous writers and artists lived.
Even today, you can still feel the retro Showa-era charm in places like the Ōtsuka Batting Center, which opened shortly after World War II. This area has preserved its nostalgic atmosphere while continuing to evolve.
