Hello! (^_-)-☆
Today, we would like to introduce Asamizodai, located in Minami Ward, Sagamihara City, Kanagawa Prefecture.
Asamizodai is a peaceful residential area surrounded by nature, with various educational and medical institutions. It is especially known for Kitasato University, which attracts many students and medical professionals, giving the area an academic atmosphere.
In addition, Asamizodai is home to large green spaces such as Sagamihara Asamizo Park and Prefectural Sagamihara Park. On weekends, these parks are lively with families and people enjoying a relaxing walk. Despite its natural surroundings, Asamizodai has convenient access to urban areas, as you can reach it by bus from Odakyu Line’s Sagami-Ono Station or Soubudai-mae Station, making it a great place to live for those who commute to the city.
Moreover, Asamizodai is known for “Sagamihara Gion Stadium”, one of the city’s major sports venues. It hosts J.League soccer matches, track and field events, as well as various local sports and cultural festivals, making it a key facility for the community.
Another historical attraction in the area is “Taimasan Muryokoji Temple”, which was built during the Kamakura period. This traditional temple offers a quiet and serene atmosphere, allowing visitors to experience Japan’s rich history and Buddhist culture.
We will share more about Asamizodai in our next post!
See you next time!!
