I’ve been updating my blog for a while now 😊
When we work at our own pace, it’s surprisingly easy to keep going ✍️🌿
Alright, let’s learn something new today! 💪📘✨
🔵 What is a “Work-Allowed” Visa?
💼 → It is a status of residence that allows you to work and earn income in Japan.
🔴 What is a “Work-Prohibited” Visa?
🚫 → It is a status of residence that does NOT allow you to earn income.
However…
👉 If you get Permission to Engage in Activity Other Than That Permitted
(“Shikakugai Katsudō Kyoka”),
you may work up to 28 hours per week and earn income 🕒💡
⚠️ Very Important!
If a foreign national works while holding a visa that does not allow work,
this becomes illegal work❗
And…
👮♂️ The employer can also be punished for encouraging illegal work.
Illegal work may also become a reason for deportation ✈️
This is something we must be very careful about.
🔍 Two Types of Work-Allowed Visas
1️⃣ Limited Work Visas
(e.g., Engineer/Specialist in Humanities/International Services, Skilled Labor)
2️⃣ Unlimited Work Visas
(e.g., Permanent Resident, Spouse or Child of Japanese National)
These categories have very different levels of work freedom 📘✨
📝 Our Office Handles “Work-Permission (Shikakugai Katsudō)” Applications
This application is for people with work-prohibited visas
who want to do part-time work up to 28 hours per week.
Most applications come from
👨👩👧 Dependent visa holders.
