We talked about “What is a Status of Residence?”
👉 This time, let’s talk about “Period of Stay” ⏳
✅ Status of Residence ＋ Period of Stay = ONE PACKAGE 🎁
They cannot be separated.
Once you receive a status, a specific period is ALWAYS assigned!
Examples:
🧍♂️ Some get 1 year
🧍♀️ Others get 5 years
👨👩👧 Family Stay → sometimes 3 months (based on the main holder)
Everyone is different!
⚠ If you stay past the date… = OVERSTAY 🚨
Before your period expires, you MUST:
✅ Renew your Period of Stay 🔄
or
✅ Apply to Change your Status 🔁
🗓 You can renew from 3 months before expiration!
😌 No need to rush,
😱 but don’t forget!

📩 Immigration will NOT send you a reminder.
✅ You must manage it yourself!
